The family announces with deep sorrow his death on Sunday, October 20, 2019, in Sudbury, Ontario. Ashley was 68 years young. He is survived by his loving spouse Anita Audet. He will forever be in the hearts of his two children Patrick Coffin and Julie Tatley and their mother Monique Coffin. “Big Papa” will always be remembered by his three grandchildren Jessica, Trevor and Charlotte, whom he admired so very much. He is also survived by his three brothers Yvan, Sidney and Gary, as well by his sister Arlene. Ashley retired after a fulfilling career as a locomotive engineer for Canadian Pacific Railway. He was an avid sports fan, but most of all, loved the great game of golf. Over the past two decades Ashley was a proud and devoted member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Simple Wishes of the North. A Celebration of Life for Ashley Coffin will take place on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Sudbury Moose Lodge from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, with a Moose Memorial Service commencing at 8:00 p.m.
