Roger Ouellette

Forever and ever I'll love you I swear by the stars up above you There never will be any other I'll love you forever and ever It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Dad and Grandpa, Roger Raoul Ouellette, at the age of 76 on June 15, 2019 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Roger is predeceased by his beloved parents, Rene and Rose Ouellette and his brother Maurice (Moe) Ouellette. Family always came first and what a great gift his love has been for his wife, his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Myrna (Lamothe) and his children, Carole Ouellette (Marc Roy), Monique Belanger (Marc) and Richard Ouellette (Anne). He received so much joy from his grandchildren who will miss him dearly; Josée, Martine, Joelle, Zacharie, Natalie and Andrée. Roger is also survived by his sister Alice Durocher (Gaston and their children Marc and Chantal), his sister-in-law Thérèse Ouellette (and her children Mike, Dan and Tina). Son-in-law to the late Joseph and Cecilia Lamothe and four brother-in-laws and five sister-in-laws. Dad shared a close bond with his cousins, Rene Gravelle (Shirley) and Aurèle Ouellette (Claudette). He loved his family unconditionally and embraced his role as a dad and as a grandpa. He was a very special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dad always made his family feel important and loved, any family member could attest to that. Roger retired from INCO and he was an entrepreneur; owned and managed an apartment complex, he was a self-taught plumber, electrician, carpenter, mechanic, and a first-aid enthusiast. He truly was a jack-of-all-trades, master of all. Roger was also an avid fisherman, hunter, and musician. He had a love for life like no other; he embraced every moment, whether it'd be with nature, family, or people of all walks of life. Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the 4th and 7th floor staff of the North Tower at HSN who provided excellent care to Dad, along with Dr. Tom Crichton and the City of Lakes Family Health Team. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 6th 2019, 11am at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul, 1265 Wyld St, North Bay, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
