It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Kutschke on June 3, 2026, at the age of 38.

Alex was the beloved son of the late Ted Kutschke and Lynn Carrington (Glynn). He will be deeply missed by his sister, Ashley Kutschke, Ashley's partner, Lisa Lamontagne, his cherished nephew, Lucian Rozon, and his partner of eleven years, Brenda.

He was the beloved nephew of Mary Bayliss (Paul), the late Fred Kutschke (Bonnie), Carol Jerome (Wayne), and Betty Burgess (Randy). He shared a special bond with his cousin Emma Bayliss, and will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, relatives, friends, and colleagues.

A proud member of Iron Workers Local 786, Alex spent many years working for Anmar before joining the union. Being an ironworker was one of his greatest sources of pride. He loved the work, the camaraderie, and the sense of purpose it brought to his life.

Alex lived boldly and without hesitation. He was a risk-taker who embraced life fully. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed good food, restaurants, gatherings with friends, and being the life of the party. Beneath his tough exterior was a generous and loyal man who cared deeply for the people in his life.

Alex was deeply loved by Brenda and was a devoted dog dad to his beloved Dodge. 

In October 2023, Alex's life changed profoundly. Despite immense challenges, he demonstrated determination and resilience. Sadly, his life would never be the same. Throughout that journey, he was supported, cared for, and fiercely advocated for by those closest to him. While Alex fought hard, he also encountered a healthcare and social support system that too often failed to provide the care and resources he needed.

While our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing that Alex is finally at peace, reunited with his father who was his best friend, and his beloved Dodge.

Alex's story ended far too soon, but his memory will live on through the many lives he touched. We will remember his laughter, his generosity, his larger-than-life personality, and the countless memories he leaves behind.

He will be loved, missed, and remembered forever.

The family has organized a service to celebrate his life on Friday, June 26th, 2026 at the Church of the Ascension, 1476 Sparks Street. The church will be open from 12:30pm, with the service beginning at 1:30pm.
