Haines, Alvin (1928-2021)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury on Monday August 30, 2021 at the age of 93. Son of the late Norman and of the late Ada Haines. Beloved husband of Helen (née Diotte) Haines. Loving father of Dan (Michelle), Ron (Chantal) and Kevin (Sue). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jonathan, Michelle, Jamie, Darcy, Katherine, William and Lauren. Predeceased by his brother John.
For over thirteen years, Alvin graciously donated his time as a volunteer at the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron. Previous to that, he was employed for many years with Dellelce Construction as a Trucker and Heavy Equipment Operator.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 4th Floor, South Tower at Health Sciences North for their compassion and caring approach.
Donations to the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated. Cremation services entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North Inc.
