Andrea Elizabeth Bennett (née MacLean)

October 17, 1970 – January 26, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of Andrea Bennett announce her passing on January 26, 2026, in Sudbury, at the age of 55 years. She is predeceased by her husband Daryl Bennett. Daughter of Laura Hynes and the late Hubert MacLean. She is survived by her children Kendra Bennett (Wade), Hunter Bennett, Colt Bennett and Savannah Veronneau. She will be missed by her uncle Charles Sinclair (Lil) and family.

Andrea grew up in Levack with her Mom and grandparents. She was the apple of their eyes! She spent many happy days at the camp in Biscotasing, where her Grandpa (her greatest mentor) taught her to fish. The love of the outdoors stayed with her. Her life path led her to Gogama - where she raised her four children.

She eventually returned to the Levack area where she worked with brain injured clients while she took courses to become a teacher. She worked in many different places, including KTEI and Cambrian College. She took her skills north where she taught on several First Nations, including Mattagami, Bear Lake, Pickle Lake and Winisk (Peawanuck). Andrea had the gift of being able to reach the children she worked with!

She had the most infectious laugh with a smile to match! She had a great sense of humour, she loved a party, she loved people, she was generous and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Mostly, she loved her children. Andrea had so much left to give and will be missed dearly. 

A celebration of life will be held on February 5th, 2026 at St. Bartholomew Church in Levack, starting at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Onaping Legion.

Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury, and Crystal Crematorium.
