1978 - 2021

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Anthony (Tony) Shane Gauthier announce his sudden passing on January 2nd, 2022 at the age of 43.

Born April 13th, 1978, Tony was the beloved son of Paulette Gauthier, nephew of Laura Gauthier (Charles MacDonald) and Mark Gauthier. Beloved father of infant son Karson Giguere-Gauthier (mother Kayla Giguere). Predeceased by his grandfather Paul Gauthier and grandmother Bruna Gauthier (Pagan).

Tony will be missed deeply by his cousins Angie Blanchard (Steven Blanchard), Jodi MacDonald (Kyle Kauppi), Halie Gauthier (James Moore), Hayden Blanchard, Hudson Blanchard, Jessica MacDonald (pre-deceased) and Olivia Kauppi as well as his dear friend Debbie Dumas and her daughter Amanda Lalonde.

Tony enjoyed many outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, atv’ing and snowmobiling. He spent many years working as a mechanic and enjoyed tinkering on engines in the yard in his spare time.

He will be missed by many extended family and friends.

We would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. Our family can now take comfort that he is no longer suffering,  and loved ones that have passed before him are waiting for him with open arms. Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted with Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. Anthony will be buried along side his grandparents at the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery this summer. Online condolences can be posted at www.simplewishesnorth.com. 

A thousand words won’t bring you back, we know because we’ve tried; neither will a thousand tears, we know because we tried.  We will love you forever, rest easy Tony.
