LAURIA, Anthony (Tony) John Lauria
(1964 – 2026)
Anthony (Tony) John Lauria, born October 7, 1964, in Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully May 29, 2026, at the age of 61. Beloved son of Hank (Joy) Lauria and Marie Lauria. Tony was loved and will be missed by his spouse Valerie, son Bradley, his daughter Kayla (Mike) and his cherished grandchildren Parker and Ava Haney. Tony is also survived by his brother Gary (predeceased), sister-in-law Debbie, sister Janet (Mike) and his nephews.
Tony dedicated his working life to the mining industry, building a career marked by commitment and integrity. His work took him to Marathon, Timmins, and Kirkland Lake before he and his family settled in Capreol in 2002 where he continued his career with Vale until his retirement in 2025. Known for his strong work ethic and steady presence, Tony earned the respect of colleagues and friends throughout the industry.
Outside of work, Tony found joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at camp, always keeping busy with the projects and routines he enjoyed. He was also a proud and active coach for Kayla’s hockey teams over the years, creating memories and connections that will be remembered by many.
Tony will be remembered for his hard work, his devotion to family, and the countless moments he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
As per Tony’s wishes, no service will be held. Donations can be made in Tony’s memory to the Autism Society.
