Antoine Caloyannis (57 Years)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antoine Yeoryios Caloyannis on April 3, 2025, in Greater Sudbury. Antoine was born in Toronto on February 1, 1968, to Brenda Caloyannis and Nassos Kalogiannis. Husband to Kerry Caloyannis (Nowgabow) and proud father to his only child Toni Caloyannis.
Antoine was known for his hardworking and dedicated nature. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, and gardener. As a highly skilled tradesman, he poured his heart and soul into his work and always aimed for perfection. Antoine found solace in spending time at his camp on Manitoulin with his loyal furry companion, Indy, where he enjoyed living off the land and relaxing in the sauna he and Toni built. He was a gracious host and cherished spending time with his friends.
He will be deeply missed by his family, including his parents Brenda and Nassos (Dimitra), mother-in-law and father-in-law Judy & Alex Nahwegahbow, siblings Katerina Kalogianni (Stavros), Stefanos Kalogiannis, sisters-in-law Lisa Gardner (Andrew) and Amy Nahwegahbow, nieces & nephews Jami (Luc), Ris (Kazia), Mary, Aidan (Maddie), Sophia and great nephew & nieces Greyson, Ramona & Coraline.
Antoine will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He touched the lives of many, and his legacy will live on in the memories shared by all who knew him. He will be especially missed by his best friend Neil (Julie) and the entire O’Hara Family - Liz (Larry predeceased), David (Carolyn) and Ryan (Robyn) who considered Antoine a member of their family.
A celebration of life for Antoine will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Lockerby Legion, located at 2200 Long Lake Road, from 11 AM to 4 PM.
