FOLEY, Barrie (1950 – 2025)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Barrie Foley, Wednesday June 18, 2025, at the age of 74 years. Beloved father, devoted Christian, and dedicated member of his community. Son of the late Francis and Pearl Foley.

Barrie was the cherished father of Barry (predeceased), Andrea and Chantal, who were the light of his life. His unwavering love, support and guidance shaped their lives, and he remained their greatest advocate and source of strength throughout his years.

Barrie dedicated 35 years of his life working for the City of Welland, where his tireless work ethic, integrity, and kindness made a lasting impact. He loved serving the community he called home, and his contributions will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A devout Christian, Barrie held his faith close to his heart until his final day. His spiritual strength and steadfast belief in God were a source of inspiration to those around him. Despite his illness, Barrie faced each day with remarkable courage and resilience, never allowing his challenges to defeat him. Though his body grew weak, his spirit remained unshaken, and he fought until the very end, just as he lived—strong and determined.

Barrie also had a profound love for animals, finding joy, comfort and companionship in their presence. His compassion for all living creatures reflected the kindness and generosity that were central to his character.

Though Barrie may no longer be with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his children, family, and friends. His legacy of strength, love, faith, and resilience will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the homeless shelter for humans or animals.

Rest in peace, Barrie. You fought the good fight, and your love and faith will continue to guide us always.
