LANDRY, Brigitte Noella (1974 – 2025)
Brigitte Noella Landry (Moote) was a loving mother, wife, grammy, sister and friend. Brigitte left this world suddenly on Sunday, March 9, 2025, after an extremely short but graceful battle with cancer.
Born on October 26, 1974, in Sudbury, Ontario, to Fern and Darquise (Robillard) Landry (both predeceased), Brigitte grew up in Levack and called the Sudbury area home her entire life.
Brigitte loved everyone. She had an infectious smile and laugh. She lived her life believing that everyone deserved kindness, and she never judged anyone. She had a unique ability to connect with people and could make a lifelong friend with a stranger in an instant. Her whole life she loved to serve people and share what she had learned. From her teenage years serving at the Stop 144 Restaurant, being a cook at Bingo Country or, serving customers at Giant Tiger. Brigitte went back to Cambrian College in 2015 and obtained her degree as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) while juggling raising her daughters and continuing to work her job as an Educator at Our Children Our Future. During her 17-year career she shined with her caring nature, empathy and genuine desire to make things better for tomorrow's generation. Children became a lifelong passion for her, and she never stopped pursuing greatness in her field. Those who knew Brigitte know she was an amazing childhood educator!
Brigitte loved to travel and was blessed to travel annually (or more) for the past 16 years visiting places she had only imagined. Her travels were enjoyed with family and friends and making new lifelong friends along the way. Her other passion was animals, and she loved her two dogs Maggie and Filbert, and both would sit on her lap and soak up her unwavering love for them. Going to camp was her summer love and she was so happy to finally get a campsite a couple years ago on the water where she could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine, go for a boat ride or hike and enjoy family and friends with a drink at the campfire. Family was the most important thing in her life and to her, friends were also family. Some of her best friends came from the campgrounds enjoyed over the past 18 years.
Brigitte is survived by her husband Garth Moote, daughters Chelsea (Dylan), Amber and Trista (Michael); sisters Lynn (Gregory-predeceased) and Christine (Gerry); niece Morgan (Ricky); great niece Mirabelle, great nephew Levi and her grandson Noah (she loved being Grammy more than anything in the world!).
Brigitte is also survived by her mother-in-law Leona (Ivan-predeceased); brother-in-law Paul (Selena); nieces and nephew, Ashley (Joe), Max (Holly) and Paulena and her great nieces Ellie and Poppy.
Finally, Brigitte is survived by numerous other extended family and lifelong friends.
A celebration (PARTY!) of Brigitte's life will be announced at a later date. Brigitte's family and friends know that a good glass of wine was part of Brigitte so every March 9 we will raise a glass in memory of her.
In lieu of flowers donations to Pet Save Sudbury would be appreciated.
