It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of their mother, grandmother and great- grandmother Bruna on August 27th, 2023 with her family by her side. She leaves behind her children Valentina, Mauro (Bernadette), Eddy (Lisa), Danny, Jerry (Diane) and Angela (Jim Mayer). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Christopher (Jennifer), James (Sherri), Brandon (Natasha), Jason, Jade, Cody, Kassandra and Makenna, as well as her great grandchildren Finley and Willa.
Bruna was born in 1931 in Dudelange, Luxemburg. She immigrated to Italy where she married Rinaldo Picco in 1950. In 1957 she came to Canada where along with her two children, Valentina and Mauro joined her husband. Her happiest times were when she cooked for her family and friends as well as tending to her bountiful garden which she generously shared with all.
As per her request, there will be no visitation but on Thursday August 31st at 3pm, there will be a discourse on her life, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Whitefish, where Bruna was a long-time member of the congregation. Over the many years, Bruna’s faith provided her with so much comfort during some very difficult times. All who wish to attend are welcome. Bruna’s family extend their gratitude to Pioneer Manor and Staff in the Nepahwin Wing, especially MJ for her excellent compassion and caring for our mother.
Donation to the Alzheimer’s or the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
