Carol Gillis (née Robinson) (1949 – 2025)
With heavy hearts the family of Carol Gillis announces her passing in Sudbury, Thursday November 6, 2025, at the age of 76 years. Daughter of Marie Rose (Mary) Robinson (née Joanisse) and the late Walter Robinson. Wife of the late Michael Lawrence. Beloved mother of Holly (predeceased) Kathleen (John), Michael (Julie) and Johnathon (Jamie). Much loved stepmom to Lorna (Mark). Cherished partner of thirty years Joe. Adored Nana to her grandchildren Alexandra (Allie), Catherine (Cassie), Emma-Lee (Emma), Jacob, Tristen, Kieyah, Alexzander (Alex) and Athenna. Adored Nana to her great granddaughter Zephyr. Special “Carol” to Joey (Jess) & Kyle (Megan) & Nana Carol to Sam, Roz & Berkley. Survived by her sisters Connie and Debbie as well as many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Tommy, Jack (Danny), Shirley, Joanne and Larry. Survived by her dear friends Rita, Mike and their dog Milo.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
