MICHAUD, Cathy Ann (née Hall) ( 1967 – 2025)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy Ann Michaud (née Hall) on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Health Sciences North, surrounded by her loving family.

Born to Rhea and Tom Hall, Cathy was the devoted wife of Paul Michaud and a cherished mother to Blaire Rains (JP), Tyler Michaud (Kelsey) and Granny to Blue Bear. She was the beloved sister of Curtis Hall (Donna) and Jimmy Hall (Wanda), aunt to Autumn, Josh, Allison, and Abby. Daughter-in-law of André and Diane Michaud, sister-in-law to David Michaud (Jasmine) and extended family to the Marshfields. Family was the center of her world. 

Cathy was known for her kindness and her incredible ability to make everyone feel like family. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone she met, and her brilliant smile and quick wit lit up every room she entered.

An exceptional leader, Cathy dedicated over 35 years to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), where she rose to the role of Director, inspiring countless colleagues along the way.

In her youth, Cathy was a talented and competitive athlete, proudly representing the Sudbury Ringette team that won the 1982 Canadian National Junior Championship. Her love for the sport continued throughout her life, as did her passion as a hockey fan. She never missed a game in which the Marshfield boys played. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 2 from 12-3pm at the Caruso Club to honour her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ten Rainbows Foundation. 

Cathy’s kindness, leadership, and joy for life will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
