Cheryl Dufoe (nee Libbey)

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that the family announces the passing of Cheryl Dufoe (née Libbey), who passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, February 23, 2026, in Sudbury, at the age of 75 years.

Cheryl was born in Mattawa to her parents, Armour and Vera Libbey (née Conndie). She carried with her throughout her life the warmth, strength, and resilience rooted in her northern upbringing.

A devoted and loving wife, Cheryl, shared a life of love and companionship with her beloved husband, Ephraim Dufoe. She was a proud and caring mother to Matthew (Danielle), Jonathan, and predeceased by Lyle Everet Dufoe. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Linkoln, Peter, Mason, and Sadie, who brought endless light and laughter into her life.

Cheryl was a dear sister to Karan Lahaie (late Gabriel) and will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and gentle spirit.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous heart. Cheryl’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons she passed down.
