It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Claude Boulet on April 10, 2022, at the age of 66 years. He was a beloved father and grandfather, a wonderful brother and brother-in-law. Claude was predeceased by his parents Tony and Edith Boulet as well as Theresa Boulet. He is survived by his daughter Cassandra (Geoff), son Jason, grandson Calvin, stepdaughter Carly. He will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters: John Ziegelheim (Sheila), Karen Harvey (Paul predeceased), Linda Brocklehurst (Charles), Anthony Boulet, Bob Boulet (Natalie), and Lise Lafontaine (Steve). He is fondly remembered by his many aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Claude’s career spanned 30 years at the Ontario Northland Railway; the last 10 years were spent as shop supervisor. After he retired Claude enjoyed playing cards with his buddies on a weekly basis, loved getting together with friends and family, a little bit of golf now and then, loved to take long walks and ride his new electric bike. Claude had an uncanny way of making people laugh, his quick wit was second to none. Those who knew him best will never forget his infectious laugh forever etched in our minds. Truly a gentle soul and a wonderful man, you will be missed: Forever in our hearts and minds.
The family wants to thank Dr. McIsaac and the team of nursing staff at Health Sciences North for their care and compassion at this difficult time.
Family and friends who wish to attend a celebration of life for Claude are invited to attend Average Joe’s banquet room on Saturday May 7th from 11-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated and acknowledged by the family. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
