Obituary

Milette, Claude  1962-2021

In loving memory of Claude Milette who left this world far too early. After a brief battle with lung cancer, he passed away on October 22, 2021, in the loving arms of his wife and best friend. He was surrounded by three of the finest women he knew. Son of Cecile and the late Robert. Loving husband of Cheryl, with whom he was together with for 26 wonderful years and married for 23 years. Proud father of Celina (Izak) who gave him the most precious gift of all, his grandson Kai. Survived by his sisters Sylvie, Monique (Rick), and his baby brother, Marc (Lisa.)  Predeceased by his sister Lise. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Grace, Matthew (Casey), Krista, Trista (Liby) and Jessica (Travis). Predeceased by his nephew, Joel. He was a great uncle to Aria and Isla and had a special place in his heart for his sister-in-law Tracey. Claude was the best fur daddy to his beloved pets, Charlie, and Oreo. He had a lengthy list of friends who will miss him dearly and he loved each and everyone of them.

After his diagnosis, Claude became Mr. Positive and fought hard to conquer it! He had an amazing sense of humour, loved to golf, fish, camp, and play Big Money TV Bingo. He died knowing that AC/DC were the best recording artists of all times, the Habs were a constant let down, but always remaining hopeful for a win, and that one day his beloved Raiders may win a Superbowl. He also knew not to get in a boat without a full body life jacket, to only fish at Harvey’s for seagulls, never walk on a dock in the dark, never forget to bring feathers and the coffin the Moonlight beach, and that Cheryl is always right! He loved four letter words, especially when referring to the government and stupid drivers. He wrecked many cars in his younger days (which is why he did not own a new one). He was a full-time student for over 20 years. You could line his diplomas from his childhood home on Lillian all the way to Cambrian College. When Claude finally settled on a career, he spent over 20 years working as an electrician for OEC and was a proud member of the IBEW 1687.

A special thank you to his oncology team and the nurses at Health Sciences North.

Claude did not want a funeral or those he loved mourning him. As he stated, “Throw a big party, blast AC/DC and celebrate my life!”  A celebration of life will be held at a later date where we will remember him in style with AC/DC blasting, drinks in hand and feathers a flowing.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elgin Street Mission or the Sudbury Food Bank.
