David Shallow
January 24th, 1953 – April 11th, 2026
It’s with great sorrow that David’s family announces his passing on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the age of 73.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 48 years Alice (née Cloutier), children Richard (Jennifer), Roxanne (Scott). Adored Papi to his grandchildren Patricia, Jake, Luke and step-grandson Scottie.
Dave was predeceased by his parents James and Isabelle Shallow, his siblings Jacqueline, James, Dennis, Shirley, Isabelle, Viviane, Richard, Marlene.
He also leaves behind his brother Gary, sisters Mona, Linda, Lucille, Donna as well as many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Dave was a well-known man who was strong hardworking with a most generous heart. A man with a great sense of humor cherishing every moment spent with friends and loved ones.
A loving father of two children, whom he loved dearly, was very proud of and often talked about. One of his biggest joys was being a grandfather. His grandkids were gold to him. He always encouraged and supported them in achieving their goals. He enjoyed every moment spent with them.
Dave had a wonderful talent for listening to people and to make them laugh. He helped many and never expected anything in return. He always put everyone else’s needs first before his own, even throughout his battle with cancer.
We will miss him more than words can say and we take great comfort in knowing that he lived a full and purposeful life. His memory will forever be a blessing to all who had the honor of knowing and loving him, and to all those whose life he touched.
Rest easy Dave with those that have passed before you and give us a sign from time to time, so we know it’s you watching over us. Thank you for being a great friend, great husband, a great Dad and grandfather. You will Forever Be in Our Hearts. Rest now my dear husband, your job is done and your fight with cancer is over. The legacy you leave behind is one of honesty, laughter, courage, resilience, strength and determination.
We will forever LOVE YOU.
The family wishes to express sincere thank you to Dr. Linford and his Care Team at Shirley and Jim Fielding Northeast Cancer Centre Sudbury. Thank you to Sudbury doctors Dr. Calvillo and Dr Ladak.
