David “Dave” John Wright (July 2, 1959 – November 14,2025)
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for his life, we announce the passing of David “Dave” John Wright, who went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on November 14th, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Yorkshire, England on July 2, 1959, Dave was the eldest of five children and was predeceased by his parents Michael and Marjorie (Barnes) Wright. At sixteen, he moved to Canada, and in God’s perfect timing, he met Laura, the love of his life. They went on to share 34 beautiful years of marriage rooted in faith and love. Dave’s greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted father to his three children Peter (wife Kaydee), Rachel (husband Devin), and Joshua (girlfriend Cora) and most recently, an even prouder grandfather to baby Alice Joy, whose arrival lit up his final months.
Dave enjoyed classic cars and collected them in his earlier years, not for their mechanical parts but for their charm, character, and the sense of joy they brought him. Beyond his hobbies, his faith guided everything he did. A proud Christian, Dave made a lasting impact on many churches over the years, sharing his love for Jesus. Dave will be remembered for his generosity, humility, and dedication to his family. He worked tirelessly to provide and gave freely to anyone in need, living out the heart of Christ without hesitation.
He lived fully, loved deeply, and gave selflessly, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and strength that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
