Debbra Evelyn MacAdam
1949-2026
With deep love and heavy hearts, we share that Debbra Evelyn MacAdam, passed away on, April 13th, 2026, in Sudbury.
Debby is reunited with her husband of over 20 years, Joey MacAdam and her former husband Steve. Also, her children Wayne and Kathy. Her parents Bud and Gloria McQueen, and the many beloved pets who brought her joy throughout her life.
She was also a devoted mother to Julie (Guy). A proud and loving “Granny” to Ashlyn (Thorin), Sasha (Kyle), Carson (Cassandra) and Denver. A delighted “Great-Granny” to Lily, Maeve and Dwalin. Her family was the center of her world, and she was always there with support, guidance and a steady presence.
She is survived by her loving siblings David, Lori and Cindi, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
She had a gift for making a home feel warm and welcoming. Debby loved decorating, painting furniture and surrounding herself with the comfort of her many kitties, often piled on to of her as she rested. She enjoyed comedies and soap operas, and she never turned down chocolate, good poutine or Chinese food. These simple joys coloured her days and reflected her gentle, down-to-earth spirit.
Her family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Shirley and Jim Fielding Northeast Cancer Center in Sudbury for their care and support. A special and deeply felt thank-you to the Maison McCulloch Hospice, who staff provided Debbra with extraordinary compassion, dignity and comfort in her final days.
Most of all, we want to thank her for everything she did for us, every kindness, every sacrifice, every moment of love. We ask that she send us an occasional sign that she’s still watching over us, as we know she will.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by her family.
She will be deeply missed, loved forever, and remembered with cherished memories that will never fade.
Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury, and Crystal Crematorium.
