Lavigne, Denis (1982 – 2021)
Our family is heartbroken to share the news of the sudden passing of Denis Lavigne on Friday March 19, 2021. A life tragically cut short at the age of 38 years.
Beloved son of Gilles Lavigne (predeceased) and Anna Lavigne (née Beland). Father to Markus Lavigne-MacDonald (mother Katy MacDonald). Never to be forgotten and always loved by his brothers Ryan Lavigne (wife Brandy) and Jasmin Lavigne (wife Caroline), his grandparents Rachel Lavigne (née Bradley) and Rheal Lavigne (predeceased), Beatrice & Eldon Mantha and Norman Beland (predeceased), nephew Jake Lavigne and niece Reagan Lavigne, as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends.
As a boy, Denis loved animals and the family farm. He always wanted to do what his big brothers did and followed them like a little puppy. He was a curious, adventurous, often mischievous child who earned the nickname of Denis the Menace. As an adult, Denis loved nature and being outdoors and felt most at ease at the family camp. He was caring and kind and loving and gentle and held a special place in his heart for his son.
Denis had a big heart but a troubled soul. He struggled with addiction and it eventually took everything from him and him from us. While he will be forever loved here on Earth, we know he is now reunited with his father in Heaven.
If our love alone could have saved him, he would have lived forever.
