Denise Nicole Blake (1943-2022)
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces her passing at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury on March 31st, 2022, at the age of 78. She was the daughter of late Edgar Doré and late Rita (née Gosselin) of Coniston. She is survived by her sister Frances (late Joseph Harapiak) and her brother Donald (Denise). Predeceased by her loving daughter Christine (2016), her sisters Annette (infant) and Claire (late Richard DeMartin).
She will be affectionately remembered by Christine’s father, Richard Blake, as well as all members of the Blake family who cared for her deeply. She will also be missed by her godchildren David Harapiak and Jamie Freeland, many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and her furry cat Lilly.
Denise was born in Coniston where she owned a ceramics shop while teaching ceramics classes in the Sudbury area. Shopping, Christmas and ceramics were her passions but most of all she will be remembered for her great generosity.
The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses, personal support workers and all staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice for the kind and caring attention they gave her throughout her journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. If you wish, you can donate online at:
