Denise Vallee Obituary

Vallee, Denise (née Williams) 1961-2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Denise Vallee (nee Williams), on December 21st, 2021, at the age of 60, who fought so bravely her fight with Scleroderma. Beloved wife of 40 years to Sylvio Vallee. Loving mother to her two daughters, Emilie (Jon) and Stefanie (Carter). Denise was born in 1961 in Sudbury, surrounded by her parents Leo and Bridget (Velma) Williams (both predeceased) and cherished siblings Debbie Rainville (Gates), Brenda Joncas (Ron) and Mike Williams (Linda). Dear sister-in-law to Normand Vallee (Carmen), Hector Vallee (Virginia), Marty Vallee (predeceased) (Kathy and Wayne), Nicole Jones (Ken) and Cleo Vallee (Brigitte predeceased). Sadly missed by many friends, nieces, nephews, and her many “bonus” children.

There are certain people who touch the lives of those they know in a unique way. Knowing them brings us joy and inspiration and when they are gone, memories of all they have done stay with us… Denise was that person. She was the most loving, fun, outgoing, sassy, silly and crazy wife, mom, sister, and friend out there… She was simply the best. Denise was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman by always giving of her time to others and incorporated that into all that she did. Sylvio and Denise shared many memories from growing up together as childhood friends to becoming husband and wife and creating their beloved family. Her husband and her daughters were her pride and joy. They are what kept her going in the face of adversity against this disease - Scleroderma. In her free time, Denise loved to garden, she had a knack for it (a “green thumb”), that is where she would light up. She also loved to shop, it showed in her sense of style and in her closet – she could shop till she dropped. She loved watching the birds from her window and chit chatting for hours on the phone with her sisters and her close friends. She would always be caught laughing, dancing, and singing in the kitchen with her husband and daughters and also spending time with family and friends - she was always the life of the party.

Your fight is now over Mom (our little warrior) you fought the best fight that you could to an unimaginably cruel disease. You can rest now and know that you gave us the best life and best memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Although she is no longer with us physically, she will always be with us spiritually. It’s not goodbye Mama, it’s see you later and we will definitely be seeing you in the garden. We love you. We love you forever, we love you always our sunshine.

A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date. To help our family during this extremely difficult time we please ask that you help us raise awareness about Scleroderma by talking about it, researching and trying to understand the severity/complexity of this disease. Donations to Scleroderma Canada would be greatly appreciated. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
