Denis Rene J. Groulx 1948-2022
Born September 25 1948, Little Long-Lac Hospital; Geraldton Thunder Bay Ontario to Joseph Nisiphore Rudolphe (1919-1999) and Marie Blanche (1923-1981) Groulx-Michaud. Survived by his sister Alice Bluth Groulx; ( Rainer), by his daughter Claudette (Mike Delendardo), and by his son Kurt Bluth (Peggy Mutchmor)
Survived by his son (1st marriage) Steven Wayne Groulx-Boulay; Mattana-Pembrook Ontario.
Survived by his wife Liliane Therese Groulx Fournier, Survived by son David Groulx (Christina Corsi-Groulx) grandsons Marco and Christopher. Survived by his daughter Pamela Cooney (Joey Cooney) grandsons Connor and Cameron. Education TH&VS in Timmins, Cambrian College Sudbury. Employed by Ontario Hydro for Forty and a half years.
His interests included wood working, fishing, and avid enthusiast in genealogy. As Denis would say, he was a Jack of all trades...master of none! As his wife and children would say, he was masterful in all that he set his mind to accomplish. In his personal as well as professional life was known for being diligent, organized, conscientious and a perfectionist. Family and friends can attest to Denis's natural abilities in all areas such as mechanics, electronics, construction, just to name a few. Although he was unaware, he taught his children many valued skills and life lessons. Denis was generous with sharing these amazing talents with others and would never refuse to lend a "helping hand”, often before being asked.
Denis had a goofy sense of humor that everyone loved, at times mischievous, and very interested in the lives of his grandkids. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.
He is so greatly missed by his wife Liliane, son David, and daughter Pam as well as all those whose lives he touched along his life's journey. we love and miss you!
Internment, will take place in St. John's Cemetery Garson. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North
