January 5, 1948 – December 29, 2020

On December 29, 2020, Dennis Holmberg, loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and an all-around groovy guy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. Dennis Holmberg was born on January 5, 1948 in Sudbury, Ontario. Dennis worked at Moore’s for many years before his retirement. His great caring and attention to detail created many loyal customers. Dennis had not only a passion for football but also for life on Manitoulin Island. Many would say the Island, specifically his property in Manitowaning was his long dreamt of piece of paradise. He was always happy and positive and lived to enjoy every day there from sun up to sundown. He always said, “There is no room for negativity here in paradise.” Dennis had a sense of humour that not many could contest with, always joking, laughing and genuinely lighthearted. Dennis was predeceased by parents Bob and Rita Holmberg and niece Kira Lumme Marsh. He is survived by his children Hartley Holmberg (Grace), Curtis Holmberg (Sarah) and Ashley Holmberg (Baden), his siblings Russ Holmberg (Paula), Ernie Holmberg (Glenys), Patsy Fournier (Alex), Len Holmberg and Nancy Mazza (Rob), his grandchildren Haidan, Ramsay, Emma, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation services were provided by Simple Wishes. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
