Diane O’Brien (née Longchamp)
October 28th, 1953 – March 1st, 2026
Diane O’Brien (née Longchamp) passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, with her loving family by her side in Sudbury. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose quiet strength and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born in Sudbury, Diane was the cherished daughter of the late Roger and Simone Longchamp (née Dubois).
Diane was the beloved wife of Edward O’Brien, with whom she shared a life of love, partnership, and family. She was a proud and devoted mother to Jennifer O’Brien (Stefan Mathon) and Raymond O’Brien, and a loving grandmother to Alanah, who brought her immense joy and pride.
She will be fondly remembered by her siblings: Raymond (Lise), Monique Portelance (Gilles), Louise Rancourt (Pierre), and Lise Longchamp. Diane also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will treasure her memory.
An executive assistant by profession, Diane, approached her work with diligence and integrity. She was known for her reliability and thoughtful nature, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer quiet support.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Diane’s family invites those who knew and loved her to honor her memory in their own personal way, holding close the many moments and memories shared with her.
Internment will take place on Friday, April 17th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., at the Civic Cemetery, Sudbury.
She will be forever loved and never forgotten.
