Grenier, Dianna (nee Taylor) (January 22,1953 - August 1, 2025.)
It is with heavy hearts that her family would like to announce that Dianna passed away suddenly but peacefully and without fear on Friday August 1st in her 73rd year. She had at her bedside on that morning, her only son Darrell Taylor, and her daughter in law Beth. Dianna fought her MS diagnosis for many years. She didn’t give up and was willing to attempt any and all treatments available to her. She continued to be a source of encouragement, happiness, and stubbornness that made her who she was right up until the very end. Her Diana”isms” and occasional glimpses of “Sally” allowed us to never challenge her state of mind. It was only after a diagnosis of cancer and the successful removal of a brain tumour just a few weeks ago, that her health began to decline rapidly and the cancer spread throughout her body at a devastating speed. With no options or hope left, Dianna bravely faced what lay ahead of her. Strong willed and only concerned about her loved ones, her body could no longer fight despite the strength and willingness she carried in her mind. She had many visits and conversations with family and friends, over the coming weeks. She spoke of the good times she had experienced in life, and also the hurdles she had overcome. Her oldest grandson Bailey, being the daily visit she looked forward to most over the last month of her life. Whether to bring her a coffee, a meal, or just love and laughs, she found comfort in his presence and willingness to do whatever he could to make her smile. She spoke openly of how much that meant to her, to everyone she spoke with, including her medical team.
Dianna leaves behind her only child Darrell (Beth). Her grandsons Bailey, Dawson, Josh, Ethan, Daniel and her only granddaughter Mayah (Eric) will never forget their Nama (D). Dianna was also blessed with great-grandchildren Rosabelle, Lily and Aries, who she loved dearly. Even though they’re still young, they will learn to know their Gigi as they grow, by the stories and memories we all will continue to share with them. Dianna also leaves behind many other family members and friends. She was especially grateful to have Diane, and Judy in her life, bringing peace, love and support to her, right up until the end.
At Dianna’s request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life held for her loved ones at a later date. Donations to the MS Society or the Cancer Society in Dianna’s name would be appreciated.
Having lived and died with dignity. Dianna has now vanished from our sight, but will continue to be felt and heard in the hearts of all those she loved. Until we meet again, we will cherish the time we had together, and find peace in knowing your suffering has ended, but your soul lives on to guide us all.
Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury, and Crystal Cremation.
