Doris Mary Bulmer (née Gray) (1928 – 2025)
With heavy hearts the family of Doris Mary Bulmer announces that she passed peacefully in Sudbury, Wednesday October 22, 2025, at the age of 97 years. Doris is the daughter of the late William Gray and the late Stella Gray (née Thibodeau). Loving wife and best friend for 65 years of the late Allan Ross Bulmer. Dear mother of Gail Blanchard (Allan), Rosalind Garrett, Merlin Bulmer (Susan) and Maralyn Randall (Cliff). She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Melissa, Robert, Kellsy (Frank), Alex (Kayla), Donovan and Garrette, as well as by her great grandchildren Regin, Aubree and Rylan.
Doris was raised on a farm with her eight siblings. Doris and her beloved husband Ross enjoyed country music and soaking up the vibrant energy of local festivals. She also spent a lot of time outside camping and appreciating nature. When she was not outside, her creative spirit shone through in her love for arts and crafts. Memories cherished by all who knew her.
Many thanks to her daughters Rosalind and Maralyn for taking such great care of Doris in the later stages of her life.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff, doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Villa for their compassionate and exceptional care of Doris. Special thanks to PSWs Denise (“The Whisper”), Sarah, Sally, Jamie, Aaron, Michelle, Julia, Phil, Anita, Anju Jijo, and Leya Erin. We apologize to anyone whose name may have been forgotten.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of kind words and condolences.
