Dyana Lapointe

In loving memory of Dyana Lapointe who passed away at Health Sciences North in Sudbury on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 at the age of 69 years. Beloved mother of Darlene Séguin, Lisa Derkacz (Donny), Tammy Séguin and Kelly Séguin, all of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Jeffery and Kyle Lauzon, Chelsea and Mersadies Derkacz, Brendan Séguin, Hillary Hutchinson and Symen Séguin and great-grandmother of Brooklyn, Kaidan and Lillian-Grace. Loving sister of Effie Skakoon (Edward predeceased) of Val Caron, Harold Lapointe (Cindy) of Azilda, Viola Lachance (Richard) of Val Caron and Jackie Ricker (Terry) of Val Caron. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter Lapointe (surviving wife Denise of Sudbury) and Lawrence Lapointe (surviving wife Diane of Sudbury) and by her sisters Myra Lapointe, Joanne Rossi (surviving husband Pat of Sudbury) and Rita at an early age. Dyana was born in Sea Side, New Brunswick on April 29th, 1947 to parents Yvonne and Walter Lapointe (both predeceased). For about 20 years, she worked at Weston's Bakery here in Sudbury. Dyana was a past member of the Valley East Lions Club where many dear friendships were had. Some of her favourite pastimes were playing bingo, reading and gardening but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a kind hearted woman who loved life and wasn't afraid to speak her mind at times. Dyana will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A graveside committal service will take place at the Valley East Cemetery at a later date.
