On November 27th, Edmond passed away peacefully in his home, after lengthy health challenges at the age of 75. Born the 8th of 13 children of his beloved parents Edmond and Gabrielle of Creighton. Dearly loved by his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and large extended family.
Mo had absolute love and adoration for his son Luke (predeceased), step-son Jason (Jennifer), step-daughter Jodi (Alexandre), and treasured grand-children; Avery, Grace, Madison and Jacob. Mo also held a special place in his heart and was grateful for his relationship with Jodi and Kristy.
Mo was a devoted and loving husband to his best friend of 27 years, Gisèle. Together, they lived a true love story. Mo and Gisèle had a passion for travel, from Europe to Hawaii, Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico and several adventures to Myrtle Beach. They delighted in entertaining family and friends in their home, but especially at Mo’s cherished Lake Penage. Of the many gatherings, Mo took particular pride when hosting the LeBreton family reunions.
Mo enjoyed Gisèle's great cooking, grilling, a nice bourbon and a witty joke. His favourite spot to unwind was sitting on the dock at Penage, soaking in the warmth and beauty with friends or family, while enjoying a strong coffee or a good glass of red wine. This will be an enduring image in our memories.
Mo was a voracious reader and consumer of knowledge. An intellectual man with an analytical mindset, Mo was a prolific and polished writer. A kind and tender soul, with an unassuming, steady and thoughtful disposition that was calming and reassuring to those in his presence. His uniquely dry sense of humour ensured laughter was ever-present.
A true outdoorsman; fishing, boating, scuba diving, golfing and swimming in the lake after a hot sauna, were among his preferred activities.
Mo’s other nickname was ‘Mo-gyver’, due to his industrious and creative DIY abilities. A handyman with the utmost attention to detail, there was no problem around the house or the cottage that ‘Mo-gyver’ could not remedy.
One of Mo’s favoured quotes was: “There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved”. Mo lived and felt this profoundly. He truly led a life filled with love, family, adventure and class.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Health Sciences North, or the Canadian Lung Association would be most appreciated. Arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North Sudbury.
