LeBlanc, Elizabeth Jean (née Rogers)
July 26, 1939 - February 10,2026
It is with great sadness that her daughters announce the passing of Elizabeth Jean (Bette) LeBlanc. Bette was predeceased by her parents William (Grant) Rogers and Elizabeth Rogers (nee Graham), her loving husband of 28 years, Claude LeBlanc (1984) and loving sister Marjorie Serre (late Taisto).
Precious mother of Dorothy LeBlanc (late Tom), Lynne Jensen (Rick), Gayle Moulton (Robert) and Lori Guindon (late Myles Swanson). Adored Memere to Robert, Andrew (Mary-Ruby), Claudia (Chad), Elizabeth (Zach), Nicholas, Lionel (Kate), Sheldon (Annemarie), Dawson, and Devon. Great grandmother to Jayden, Makena, Spencer, Sawyer, Evie, Pyper-Lynne, Rowyn(predeceased), Juno, Briar, Zora, Isabelle, Elanor and Charleigh. Cherished Auntie Bett to Karyn, Meredith, and Rob.
Survived by brother-in-law Rick LeBlanc (Lise) and many nieces and nephews. Also loved and sadly missed by her special extended family, The McWhinnie's.
Bette Jean was born and raised on her beloved Manitoulin Island where she met the love of her life. They moved to Blind River in 1958 where they raised their 4 daughters. Bette Jean was an active member of St. Andrew's United Church. She taught piano lessons out of her home for many years and was very active in the Blind River Figure Skating Club. Bette was also involved in numerous outreach programs, receiving a regional award for her contributions. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church in Blind River on Tuesday, February 24th at 11 a.m.. Internment will be held in the spring.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff of Golden Birches Terrace for their exemplary care and kindness to our mother over the years and to ourselves during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew's United Church Memorial Fund, Golden Birches Family Council, or The Algoma Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
