On September 9, 2023, Elizabeth (Liz) Lovely, 81 years old, passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was born in Pembroke, later moving to Sudbury to start a life with her husband. They resided in Cambridge for a number of years, and finally settled back in Coniston. Liz worked as a Health Care Aide for many years at Extendicare in Sudbury, then at St. Luke's Place in Cambridge. She was a Lutheran and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for years. In earlier years, Liz volunteered for many school events, field trips and sporting events with her children and grandchildren. While working as a Health Care Aide, she was actively and passionately involved in union activities until she retired. She enjoyed her numerous winter trips to Cuba with her husband. She connected with friends and family through her I - Pad and kept everyone in her thoughts and prayers. Liz will be fondly remembered for her daily sharing of numerous inspirational quotes, recipes and cat videos. She was very caring and collected items for homeless shelters and people in need. She loved gardening and enjoyed the blooming of her many African violets and orchids over the years. For several years she was an avid bowler. Throughout all, she was a loving, caring and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all those that she's left behind. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Keith, of 58 years, her daughters Melissa Kennedy (Dave) and Lisa Peterson, along with several grandchildren, Dave (April), Holly (Malik), Connor (Casey), Tyler and Koda. She was excited and proud of her new great grandson, Ramzi. She leaves behind her sister Debbie Breske {George), brother-in-law Ken Lovely (Barb) and sister in-law Linda Johnson (Bob) along with several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Emma and Wilfred Breske, brother Ken, and sister Diana, along with her parents-in-law Olin and Barbara Lovely. The family would like to thank the home care nurses that visited her on a regular basis along with the wonderful nurses and physicians that cared for her over the years. There will be no visitation or service, however a celebration of life will be organized at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elgin Street Mission or Canadian Mental Health Association.
