Mortimer, Eric-1971 - 2022
It is with great sorrow that the Mortimer family announces the passing of Eric Christopher Mortimer. A true, loyal, beautiful person taken way too soon from this world. An amazing Husband, father, son, poppa, uncle, brother, and friend. He is an absolute example of love, family, and generosity that everyone should aspire to be. He is admired and respected within his circle and everywhere he goes. To know him is to love him. His passing is a tragic loss to us all. Eric passed away on March 24, 2022, surrounded by and in the arms of his loving wife Katherine and three devoted children, Rachael-Anne, Avery, and Gabriel Mortimer. He will be sorrowfully missed by his parents, Eric and Susan Mortimer. Raymond and Margaret Shirran, (predeceased) as well as his adoring grandchildren, Christopher and Charles Mortimer-Thorne and son in law Cody Wilson-Thorne. Beloved brother to Rebecca Mortimer, Brenda and Mike McLaughlin and uncle to Kaytlynn (Eric, Vera and June), Julia and Bradley. Brother by love to Ron Smith, (Carolyn). The world will never be the same and the joy and light that you bring will never be matched.
Eric, my love... how can I tell you in words how much I love you. There will never be a moment, an hour, or a day that you are not the most important thought in my mind and in my heart. You have given me your undying love and all of your heart and soul, and I will carry it with me all of the days I have left on this earth and beyond until I come home to you and your loving arms. We are the truest of soul mates and best friends in every way and we’ve always known that we have something so extra sweet and special. I am so proud of you, who you’ve become. The father and husband you are. The examples you’ve set on how to be a man. A man who never let anyone suffer if you could help it. So generous with everything including your time. I am proud to say that I am your wife. The one you chose to spend your beautiful life with. A man to look up to. I will love you forever and more as you love me. You make me feel like the most important and adored person without ever a doubt. I’ll cherish my memories of you, your laughter and smile, your little jokes, your passion, your love, and all of the wonderful things we’ve said, experienced and felt together, and about each other. These words don’t even touch on the magnitude of the feelings that I have for you and who you truly are. I love you more than life… Kat xo
