Surrounded by his loving family, Frank passed away peacefully at his residence in Sudbury on Monday, October 24th, 2016 at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband of Laurie (nee Baker) of Sudbury. Dear father of Katie Natalie Martin (David O'Byrne) of Vancouver and Tamara Julie Martin (Tyler Maynard) of Etobicoke. Cherished son of Emma (nee Wasylkiw) of Sudbury and the late Bill Martin. Dear brother of Lorna Brassard (predeceased), Joanne Badgerow (late husband David) of Whitefish, Bonnie Konikow (husband Igor) of Whitefish and Cathy Sukoluk (husband Richard) of Sudbury. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many beloved family members on Laurie's side of the Family. A life long resident of Sudbury, Frank retired from Creighton Mine, Vale/INCO with 37 years of service, going on to enjoy working with SCR Mining and Tunneling. Frank thoroughly enjoyed watching "movie marathons" with his daughters, long walks in the fall as Autumn was his favourite time of the year and playing practical jokes on anyone he could. Frank will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour and his hardy laugh. As per his wishes, there will be no public visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of his life will take place at the family home here in Sudbury on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m. All relatives and friends are invited to join the family for this special gathering. Donations in Frank's memory may be made to Wild at Heart (Animal Refuge Centre in Lively) or Bear With Us (Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Centre for Bears).
