Visockas, Frank William – Jr March 3, 1952 – April 23, 2022
It is with great sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather in Sudbury on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Frank passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Frank was the loving and devoted husband of Josie Visockas (Bede). Loving father of sons Lee Visockas (predeceased) and Kirk Visockas (wife Marcy). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his special granddaughter Victoria. Son-in-law to Frank and Ljuba Bede and brother-in-law to Michael Bede (wife Lillian) all from Garson. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Bertha Visockas, and siblings Vicky and Joseph Visockas.
Frank was born and raised in Sudbury, ON. He attended Cambrian college where he attained a diploma in mining technology. This led to his successful 50 plus year career in the mining industry. He enjoyed the simple things in life, camping, fishing, cars, and especially time spent with his family. He was consumed by sports, most notably hockey and football.
Frank courageously faced and bravely fought cancer and heart disease in his last years. He was a selfless man that never gave a second thought of himself before others. He had a personality bigger than life itself. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
As per Frank’s wishes cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
