Gaetane (Dutrisac) Seguin

Gaetane Seguin (née Dutrisac), born August 19, 1947, in Sturgeon Falls, ON sadly left us on March 24, 2025.

Gaetane shared her life with her soulmate, Gary Cosgrove. She raised two children, her daughter Micheline Sinclair (née Seguin) (spouse Jean) and her son Paul Seguin (predeceased) (wife Lori) to be independent and thoughtful adults. She was also a mother to Amy Cosgrove. Gaetane was the “fun mémère” to 7 grandchildren and four great grandchildren spending many summers by the pool with Holly, Kelsey, and Karissa. Her house was the gathering place for family dinners and holiday celebrations.
She had a vast network of friends who became family. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Gaetane attended numerous functions at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch#553 in Chelmsford where she cherished every moment spent there.

Gaetane allegedly 77, despite insisting that she was 29 for more than 40 years, loved to have a party thrown in her honour.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life for all who cherished her will be held at a later date where we will share stories, laughter and tears as well as raise a glass in celebration of her journey home. Family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating a woman who was well loved and who will be sadly missed especially by those closest to her.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the staff who made her days comfortable and peaceful.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
