Gail Johnson Obituary (July 19, 1956 – August 28, 2025)
Gail Marie Johnson (nee Chapman) passed away at her home August 28, 2025, at the age of 69.
Loving mother of Selena Young of Barrie, and Mathew Johnson (Mireille) of Sudbury. Cherished Nana to her six grandchildren; Kolton, Kyarah, Myah, Maliah, Marlah and Maks. Daughter of Barbara and Douglas Chapman (predeceased), loving sister of Catherine (Kay), John, (predeceased), Wendy (James) all of Sudbury, Debbie (Gary) of Blind River and Connie (Don) of Spruce Grove, Alberta, and sister-in-law, Lise of Sudbury. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Also fondly remembered by Dennis Johnson of Sudbury and Vince Belanger (Angie) of Barrie.
Gail was a Valley girl, growing up in Guilletville, Val Caron, she attended school at Valley View, Pinecrest and Confederation Secondary School. Many people knew her from her long career as a Bingo caller at Lasalle Bingo and later at Bella’s Bingo Palace. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and loved Euchre tournaments back in the day. She loved spending time with her sisters and always had a close bond with all of them. She will always be remembered for her sharp wit, sense of humor and being an armchair therapist for everyone she knew. Her grandbabies will miss her big, warm hugs most of all.
No service is planned at this time; family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
