Garry Algernon McFadden
April 18th, 1955 – April 3rd, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Garry Algernon McFadden on April 3, 2026, at the age of 70 years young.
Garry will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jeannette McFadden (Rainville). After meeting, they were married within just 30 days and remained inseparable ever since. Through life’s ups and downs, twists and turns, they stood by each other as best friends and steadfast anchors. Their relationship was filled with laughter and love, something all who knew them could feel.
From this remarkable love story came their four children: Amanda Benvenuti (Jeff), Sandra St. Martin (Tim), Adam, and Steven (Sam), all of whom will miss him dearly. Garry leaves behind countless cherished memories as a devoted father who loved sharing outdoor adventures with his family, setting up tents, tying fishing hooks, and laughing together around the campfire. In the colder months, there was always a skidoo ready for a ride and a helping hand to build the perfect snow fort.
Garry was also a devoted farmer who spent many years working on the land and building a life centered around family and hard work. He took great pride in caring for his animals, especially his llamas and goats, and found true joy in the simple, honest rhythm of farm life. His knowledge, dedication, and love for the land were evident in everything he did.
These traditions continued with his beloved grandchildren, Hailey, Cora (Jake), Brayden, Chloe, Lillyanne, and Rycker, who are heartbroken by the loss of their cherished G-Pa. He was always there to answer their questions about life, offer tractor rides around the farm, and give bear hugs that made all of life’s worries melt away.
Garry was predeceased by his parents, Algernon McFadden and Jean McFadden (Hopkins). He will be fondly remembered by his siblings Grace Thom (late Sandy), Gwen, Gord (Louise), Gayle, and Grant.
He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Billy (late Cathy), Maureen (Stanley), late Paul (Dianne), Rene (Tammy), Robert (Connie), and late Donald (Lynda).
Also, dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life in honor of Garry on April 18, 2026. Those wishing to attend are kindly asked to contact the family for further details.
Garry’s legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
