July 12, 1943 to Oct 26, 2025
With quiet hearts and a sense of peace, we share that our mother passed away at Pioneer Manor on October 26, 2025, after a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer’s. Her passing was gentle, and we are grateful she is now free from suffering.
She is survived by her children Tracy (Peter) and Darren; her grandchildren Kelsey, Taylor, Megan, and Deric; and her great-grandchildren Layla, Bella-Rose, and Kendralynn. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Carolyn (Nelson) and her brother Kevin (Barbara).
She was a wonderful cook and loved spending time in nature soaking up the sun. Her career was spent in labour and delivery, where she supported expectant mothers and welcomed new lives into the world with care and dedication. Later, she continued her work in a neonatal clinic, where her love for babies remained a constant and defining part of who she was.
She enjoyed many years connected to All Nations Church and in retirement cherished winters spent in Lakeland, Florida, where she embraced warmth, community, and peace.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the PSWs, nurses, and medical staff at Pioneer Manor for their compassionate care and support. Your kindness made a difference.
Cremation services are provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
