Germain "Gerry" Roy

Roy, Germain 1949-2022 

After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, the family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury on May 26, 2022 at the age of 72 years. Son of the late Herman and the late Evangeline (née Lagacée) Roy. Loving husband of Delia and proud father of Marcel and Chantal. Brother of Gordon (Sinéad), Richard (Linda), Jeanne Lagacée (Bob), Jeanette Plourde (Alyre), and Linda Lanteigne (Augustin). Special uncle to Patrick Boudreau (Tammy), Mark Boudreau (Vanessa), and Shawn Boudreau, as well as many other nieces and nephews. 

Gerry loved cooking, bowling, playing darts, watching wrestling, and cruising around in his car. His greatest joy however was being surrounded by his family. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.

Après une longue et courageuse bataille contre le cancer, la famille annonce avec tristesse son décès à Sudbury le 26 mai, 2022 à l’âge de 72 ans. Fils de feu Herman et de feu Evangeline (née Lagacée) Roy. Époux bien-aimé de Delia et père de Marcel et Chantal.  Frère de Gordon (Sinéad), Richard (Linda), Jeanne Lagacée (Bob), Jeanette Plourde (Alyre), et Linda Lanteigne (Augustin).  Oncle chéri de Patrick Boudreau (Tammy), Mark Boudreau (Vanessa), et Shawn Boudreau, ainsi que plusieurs autres nièces et neveux. 

Gerry aimait cuisiner, jouer au bowling, jouer aux fléchettes, regarder la lutte et se balader dans sa voiture.  Sa plus grande joie dans la vie était d'être entouré de sa famille.

Que vos témoignages de condoléances se traduisent en dons à la Société Canadienne du Cancer.  Les arrangements funéraires sont confiés à Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.
