Barriault, Gilberte (née Piquette)
September 21, 1923 - March 16, 2021
The family announces with sorrow the passing of their mother on Tuesday March 16th, 2021, at the age of 97 years.
For those who knew her, Gilberte’s first priority was her children and extended family. She was still cooking for her large family of 45 every Christmas at the farm until the age of 94. She was full of life, always ready to dance, enjoy a cold beer and party. She was always happy to see you and welcomed you with a huge smile. We will forever rejoice in the laughs and memories you brought us.
Daughter of the late Joseph Piquette and of the late Maria Lapointe. Predeceased by her husband Léo Barriault, daughter Paulette, son Gilles, and her 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Loving mother of Percy (Danielle), Fern, Robert (Diane), Suzette and Maurice. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. To respect the families wishes please do not send any flowers nor plant a tree in memory of Gilberte.
