Glenna Mete
October 19th, 1943 – February 25th, 2026
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Glenna Mete, on February 25, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Glenna is survived and deeply missed by her loving husband Vince of 50 years and her children David (Angella) of Sudbury and Tina Shook (Jim) of Ocala, Florida. Glenna devoted herself to being the best wife and mother possible.
Glenna will be remembered with fondness by her sister Fran Crick (Al), brother Eric Erickson (Karen), aunt Lillian, her mother-in-law, Antoinetta Mete, her brothers-in-law, Dino Mete (Mary), Anthony Mete (predeceased) (Norma), and cousin Cathy Mete-Ali.
Glenna also dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker, where her nurturing spirit truly shone. She had a deep love for crafts and spent countless hours creating beautiful handmade treasures, many of which she generously donated to charitable causes. Her kindness and creativity touched many lives in her community.
Glenna will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter or an animal charity of your choice.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Health Sciences North, for their care and compassion.
At Glenna's request, there will be no funeral or memorial.
Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury, and Crystal Crematorium.
