Grant was born in Sudbury on February 29th 1948, son of Beatrice and Lorne Shaw, both predeceased. For over 25 years, Grant worked as a police officer with the Sudbury Regional Police and retired in the late 1990's. Spending time during the summer months at Trout Lake and the winter months in Florida brought great joy his life. He loved being involved with many charities and was always willing to help anyone in need. Some of his favourite pastimes were fishing, hunting, swimming, golfing and snowmobiling. Grant will be remembered as an individual with a great sense of humour and would be described by many as a real social butterfly. He touched the lives of so many people and will be missed by all who knew him. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation at Lakeview Crematorium. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Donations, in Grant's memory, may be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
