Constantin, Hector (1953–2025)

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Hector Constantin announces his peaceful passing in Sudbury on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 71.

Beloved son of the late Hector Constantin and the late Rose-Anna Constantin (née Dugas). Cherished husband of Suzanne Constantin (née Routhier) and devoted father of Renée Richer (Cari) and Eric Constantin (Sherry). Proud and loving grandpapa to Skyler, Anna-Rose, Emma, Bentley, Sawyer, Kerissa (Shaun), Jessica (Devon), and Ricky (Janika) who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Loving fur daddy to Gracie. 

Hector was a man of many talents—a true jack of all trades and the ultimate handyman. Whether fixing something around the house, helping a neighbour, or sharing a laugh with a friend, he always gave generously of his time and skills. He approached life with quiet strength, humour, and a deep sense of kindness that touched everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

He retired after a long and fulfilling career with Inco, where he was known not just for his hard work, but for his warmth and camaraderie.

Survived by his brothers Carl (late Suzanne), Roland (late Louanne), Raymond (Evelyne), and Jean-Yves (Yvette). Predeceased by his brother Jean-Guy and sisters Rachelle (Jean-Paul) and Pauline (late Jean-Marc). His presence will be deeply missed by extended family, friends, and all who knew him.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Église St-Jean de Brébeuf.
