It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved Helen Andrews Dubien, 88 years, has made her journey home to be with Jesus on September 6, 2023. Helen passed away peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her loving family at St-Joesph’s Rehabilitation centre in Sudbury, ON.
Helen was born in North Bay, ON to William and Ella Andrews (both predeceased). Leaving behind her siblings; Bill (predeceased), RJ, Reggie (predeceased), Harry (predeceased), Jack, her one and only sister Suzie. She was a devoted Christian, in her past time she enjoyed attending church, working in the Rosary Garden at the St-Patrick’s church, her cottage at Remi Lake, tole painting, cooking, baking but most of all being with her family and friends.
She leaves behind her 3 children; Karen Dubien (Barb) of Sudbury, Cindy-Lou Dubien (Mark) of Sudbury and Kevin Dubien (Patty) of Manitoulin Island.
Left to cry in sorrow are her most precious and treasured prizes; her grand children; Cathan of Sudbury, Tiffany (Jason Bergeron) of Kapuskasing, Kelsy (Patrick Paquette) of Timmins, Maddison (Wayne) of Sudbury, Kylie (Jimmy) of Manitoulin Island. Grandmas cherished great-grandboys Jaxx and Attlee Paquette. They were truly the light of her life. She will equally be missed by her extended blended great-grandchildren.
Helen felt great affection for her dear friendship that she held so close to her heart with Roberta Potvin, Debbie Pham, Jasmine Pham Serresse (Georges), their two boys and too many others to mention.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank the staff at St Josephs Rehabilitation Centre Clarion site for the wonderful care and support that they have provided.
Though we have heavy hearts, we find solace in knowing that she's in a better place. As per her wishes there will be no viewing, a memorial service will be held at the St-Patrick’s church in Kapuskasing at a later date. The memorial service will be followed by a dinner for immediate family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to the Rosary Garden in Kapuskasing would be greatly appreciated.
