Born in Peterbell, Ontario, Ida was the daughter of the late Marvin Howson and Margaret Howson (née Methot). She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Stella, Alvin (Squint), Odell (Chicken), June (Duttie), and Bert. and was predeceased by her siblings, Charlie, Marvin (Chummy), Margaret (Mugsy), and Michael.
Ida was a loving and proud grandmother to Sarah, Madison, Michael, Nicolas, Summer, and Mackenzie. She was filled with joy and anticipation of becoming a great-grandmother to Leighton Ida-Anne, who will carry her name forward in memory and love.
Ida will be remembered most for her love of family, her quiet strength, and the warmth she shared with those closest to her. She had a way of making those around her feel cared for, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
