March 22nd, 1950 – May 19th, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of James Mainprize, with loved ones by his side, on May 19th, 2026, in Sudbury, at the age of 76 years.
Beloved son of the late Edward and Shirley Mainprize (née Cameron). Predeceased by his loving wife and soulmate, Marion Mainprize (née Silke).
Cherished father of Robert Mainprize (Reyna Cabahug), Melissa Dermody, and Michael Mainprize (Moureen Ruto). Proud grandfather of Joe, Golden, Connor, Kaitlyn, and Ethan.
James will be sadly missed by his siblings David Mainprize (Liane), Paul Mainprize (Paula), and Sue Duff (Ken), as well as by many extended family members and friends.
He also shared a special bond with his beloved cat, Pancake, who brought him much comfort and companionship over the years.
James had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. Above all else, his greatest pride and joy was his family, with whom he treasured every moment spent.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
