Dufour, Jean Roch (1948-2022)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Jean Roch Dufour in Sudbury, Thursday, July 21st, 2022, at the age of 74 years. Son of the late Alphonse Dufour and of the late Irène Dufour (née Malenfant). Loving husband of Joan Dufour (née Lacroix). Dear father of Steph (Carole) and Barry (Tina). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren (les anges à pépère) Jessica, Tyler, Connor and his fur great-grandchildren Cookie and Boomer. Also survived by his brothers Jocelyn (Cathy), Gratien “Butch” (late Linda), Emile, Hubert (Anne) and Magella (Sue). Predeceased by his sister Jocelyne (late Gilles) and his brothers Gérard “Fouine” and Gilles “Jeff” (late Doreen). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Jean Roch retired after a successful career as a mining contractor. He enjoyed being surrounded by his many friends and his family.He was also the biggest fan of his grandchildren’s hockey and baseball.
Jean Roch’s family sends its heartfelt thank you to the Maison McCulloch Hospice team and special friend of Joan (Lori). The care and kindness shown to our dad will not soon be forgotten. If desired, donations to the Sudbury Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Cremation services by Simple Wishes of The North, Sudbury.
