LAHAISE, Jeffrey (1957 – 2025)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeff LaHaise after a brief illness. Jeff was the son of Mary and the late Malcolm LaHaise. He is survived by his siblings Greg, Janet Mosier, John (Sheri), Kim Adrain and Deanna (Rob) Runge. He also leaves behind his loving nieces and nephews, Kristi (Ryan) Stead, Steven Mosier, Dylan Adrain, Spencer Adrain, Rowan LaHaise, Jaxson (Megan) Runge, Wynter LaHaise and Neveah Runge. Uncle Jeff coming home was always a highlight.
Jeff began his mining career in Manitouwadge at Noranda and was a driller at Vale Mining for the past 33 years. He was proud to be a member of the USW and a Union Steward representing his co-workers diligently. He enjoyed a great debate and always made sure his voice was heard in any discussion. He loved his Leaf’s and maintained a healthy rivalry with the Sens fans in the family. He played hockey from a young age until his knees said no more! He enjoyed coaching and mentoring young hockey players, including his nieces and nephews. Beneath his tough and opinionated exterior, he was a kind and generous soul.
A Celebration of Life for Jeff will be held in Sudbury at the Holiday Inn on Regent St on May 24th, 2025 between 2pm and 6pm.
We look forward to meeting his Sudbury friends and family and sharing in your memories of Jeff.
Cremation has taken place, arrangements in care of Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
