DUCHESNE, Joseph Ronald (1953 – 2025)
It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Ronald Duchesne announces his passing in Sudbury, Saturday May 31, 2025, at the age of 72 years. Son of the late Lionel Duchesne and of the late Rhéa Duchesne (née Vaillant). Beloved husband of 52 years Winnifred Duchesne (née Johnston). Loving father of Jennifer and Christopher (Roxanne). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Nicholas, Rhéa, Elyse and by his great granddaughter Aylah. Loving remembered by his two brothers, three sisters and all his nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by his friends.
Ron served 20 years with the Canadian Armed Forces before retiring, then worked with Sudbury Youth Services for many years.
Ron's life was all about trapping, hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, dogs and above all Family. Everyone always looked forward to his family meals aka his "gravy and stuffing". He always had that one thing you needed, As he would say "Gotta get shit done!"
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
