Julie Lavoie Obituary

Julie Lavoie (1955 – 2025)

It is with immense sorrow that the family of Julie Lavoie announces her passing in Sudbury surrounded by her loved ones on November 11, 2025, at the age of 70 years. Daughter of the late Ralph Lavoie and the late Margaret Lavoie of Sudbury. Beloved wife of Norm Dupuis of Sudbury. Loving mother of Chris Albrechtas (Nicole) of Mount Forest, Carly Albrechtas of Port Elgin and stepdaughter Megan Dupuis-Basso (Brock) of Sudbury. Julie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ethan, Ava, Evan and Ried. Sister of the late Michael Lavoie (Marlene) of Alban, Angela Scovron (late Stan) of Sudbury, Raymond Lavoie (Paulette) of Campbell River, BC, Raiph Lavoie of Sudbury and the late Danny Lavoie of Sudbury. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ex-spouse of Herb Whyte of Sudbury and Danny Abrechtas of Mount Forest.

Wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt are all titles Julie lived for and took seriously. She made sure to nurture her relationships with her warmth, humor and positivity, always ready to offer a helping hand. Julie found joy in the small daily act of calling her sister Angela every morning to chat. She enjoyed getting together with her “CRA Ladies” and taking girl trips with her childhood best friends Joan Barriault and Valerie Pitre.

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the HSN ICU Unit for  their care and compassion provided during Julie’s stay.

At Julie’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.

Cremation services provided by Simple  Wishes of the North, Sudbury and Crystal Crematorium.
